In this case, you'll need to reboot, enter the BIOS and disable Secure Boot Policy. Every BIOS is different, but this setting can usually be found in the Security tab. Hard drives rely on something known as a serial ATA connection to communicate with your computer. During new installs or deep troubleshooting, it is sometimes necessary to disable the SATA connection of one or more of your hard drives through your computer’s BIOS menu. This process varies from computer to computer, but follows the same general steps.
1.Restart your PC by clicking the right edge of the screen and selecting “Settings.” Click “Power” and then “Restart.”

Press the correct BIOS launch key when prompted during startup. The BIOS key is usually F1, F2, Delete, ESC or F10. The startup screen will flash a message like, “Press [KEY] to enter setup” -- this is your BIOS launch key. You will only have a couple of seconds to hit the key.
3.Locate the SATA settings option in the BIOS menu. It should be under the “Configuration” tab, but could be somewhere else depending on your computer manufacturer.
4.Select the SATA setting and change the value to “Disable.” Press F10 to save.
